Abstract

Background: Nursing documentation is something very important, nursing documentation is used in clinical communication and provides careful reflection including nursing assessment, changes in clinical conditions, care that has been given, and client data related to providing multidisciplinary team support in providing individual care and providing quality health services. One of the things that makes documentation incomplete is the nurse's workload Objective: To determine the relationship between nurses' workload and the completeness of nursing documentation in children's and adults' inpatient rooms Method: Quantitative research type with correlative analytical design with a cross-sectional approach using total sampling technique, a population of 39 respondents, The data collection process was carried out by observing the nursing documentation and filling out a questionnaire for respondents. Data analysis includes univariate analysis to determine the mean ,median,standart deviation, minimum and maksimum distribution of workload characteristics and completeness of nursing documentation then bivariate analysis with Pearson correlation test Results: There is a relationship between workload and completeness of nursing documentation (p value = 0.000) and (Pearson = -0.829) has a strong relationship between workload and completeness of nursing documentation with a negative relationship direction Suggestion: Nurses should complete nursing documentation as providers of quality health services
