Abstract

Background: Anxiety is an emotional condition characterized by excessive worry about various daily life events whose objects are unclear. Anxiety can arise in various situations, one of which is when facing pre-operation where a person feels anxious when the anesthesia process and the surgical process are worried that it will not go well, uncontrolled anxiety will have an impact on an unstable hemodynamic condition and the risk of increasing the anesthesia dose. Therefore, strategies are needed to overcome preoperative anxiety, one of which is dhikr therapy. Objective: The application of evidence based practice with dhikr therapy aims to reduce preoperative anxiety levels. Method: The research design used a descriptive method with a case study approach to the nursing process carried out on 5 patients to measure the patient's preoperative anxiety level with the application of dhikr therapy. Results: The results of the application of evidence-based practice dhikr therapy concluded that dhikr therapy is useful for reducing preoperative anxiety levels. The level of anxiety before being given dhikr therapy in respondents 1,2,3 and 5 was at moderate anxiety level and respondent 4 was at severe anxiety level. After dhikr therapy was given, it was found that the anxiety level in respondents 1,2,3 and 5 decreased to mild anxiety and respondent 4 decreased to moderate anxiety. Recommendation: Hasil penerapan evidance based practice terapi dzikir dapat dibuat menjadi SOP baku yang dapat diberlakukan di Rumah Sakit. Bagi responden terapi dzikir dapat diterapkan secara mandiri dan rutin. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat melanjutkan penelitian dengan metode kualitatif untuk menggali manfaat lain dari terapi dzikir.
