Abstract
This study aims to test and analyze the effect of capital expenditure, liquid asset substitute, short-term debt and profitability on cash holding in Food and Beverage companies. The population in this study are food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique with a total of 27 companies, so 135 research samples were obtained. The data collection technique used was by using financial reports published by the company. Then in this study the data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results obtained in this study indicate that the variables capital expenditure, liquid asset substitute and short-term debt have a significant negative effect on cash holding, while profitability has a significant positive effect on cash holding.
