Abstract

From the results of practical work that has been carried out, the author proposes the design of a tanker administration system at the Palembang Type A Class I Navigation District. Which is placed in VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) which is in charge of monitoring the types of ships and also recording the administration of ships in the Musi river waters to Muntok, still using a manual system with Microsoft Excel in the Administration section for tankers. From this problem the author provides input in the form of designing a system to help the VTS admin in managing the administration of tankers entitled “Website-based Tanker Administration System Design”. This system can be accessed by internal parties of the Navigation District Type A Class I Palembang, especially in the VTS admin section which can be seen by the admin, operator and VTS Manager. The design of this system uses the Waterfall development method and in this design also proposes several designs, namely Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship Diagram, Flowchart, and System Interface.
