Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between interpersonal communication and job satisfaction among 111 private sector employees. A quantitative research method was employed, using a questionnaire or Google form to collect data. The hypothesis was that there is a relationship between interpersonal communication and job satisfaction. Data analysis involved normality tests, linearity tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that both variables were normally distributed, as indicated by the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) values of 0.80 > 0.05 and 0.200 > 0.05, respectively. A positive correlation was found between interpersonal communication and job satisfaction. The linearity test indicated a significant influence of interpersonal communication on job satisfaction, as shown by the significance value of 0.457 > 0.005. Keywords: interpersonal communication, job statisfaction, normality tes, linearity test, hypothesis testing
