Abstract
Background back : In the modern world, chronic diseases that occur as a result of decreased organ or tissue function are often known as diabetes mellitus. Based on the current situation, there are still around 15% of sufferers who suffer from diabetic wounds, where there is still a lack of awareness regarding proper diabetic wound care, wound care Diabetic ulcers have changed over time, changing very rapidly from conventional wound care to modern wound care with the principle of moist balance, which is called modern wound dressing. Purpose : Applying modern wound care dressings for healing diabetic foot ulcers Methods : Using the application of nursing care which describes implementation related to the Application of Modern Wound Care Dressing with a case study approach Results: Modern wound care dressings are effective for healing wounds in patients with diabetic wounds. This is evidenced by the change in the scores obtained in the BWAT assessment on the 13 items studied in the three patients. The results obtained for the first patient before treatment were a score of 46. After 3 treatments the score dropped to 37, for the second patient before treatment, the score was 52 after After 3 treatments, the score was 48, and the 3rd patient before treatment had a score of 37. After 3 treatments, the score dropped to 30. Conclusion : Based on the results of research on wound care using modern dressing methods, it is effective in accelerating the healing process of diabetes mellitus foot ulcers. Suggestion: Wound care using modern dressing methods can be used for further research using more than one type of primary dressing and can be done independently by the patient's family.
