Abstract

UMKM Sinar Jaya Perkasa workshop is a micro, small and medium enterprise engaged in welding production, it is known that the working methods and work environment in this welding workshop do not provide a sense of security and comfort for employees so that it can cause dangers that can cause work accidents. It is necessary to conduct an analysis of the risk factors causing these work accidents so that prevention can be carried out to minimize work accidents and increase welding workshop productivity. The Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment method is a method that can be used to analyze and identify risks in a production process through the Risk Assessment ranking. UMKM Sinar Jaya Perkasa welding workshop has 12 work accidents and 10 sources of danger from the ranking obtained 1 source of danger that has an Extreme risk value, 2 that have a High risk value, 4 sources of danger that have a moderate risk value 3 risks that have a low risk value. This study recommends improvements and implementation of improvements to provide welding safety gloves, gloves for painting, safety masks, and mandatory K3 warning stickers.
