Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of interest rates, profitability and leverage on stock returns by focusing on companies listed on the IDX80 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a research period of 2020-2022. The data used is secondary data. The population in this study are all companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method and 64 companies were obtained with a sample size of 144 samples. Hypothesis testing was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis and the T test. The results of this study showed that the interest rate did not have a significant effect on stock returns for the sub-sample of financial companies and the interest rate had a positive and significant effect on stock returns for the overall and non-company sub-samples. -finance. Profitability has no effect on stock returns for the sub-sample of financial companies and profitability has a positive and significant effect on stock returns for the overall and non-financial company sub-samples. Leverage has no significant effect on stock returns for the sub-sample of financial and non-financial companies and leverage has a positive and significant effect on stock returns for the entire sub-sample of companies.
