Abstract

Background : Clean and Healthy Living Behavior at school is an activity that involves teachers, students and the community in the school environment. School children are an age grouping stage that is very sensitive to stimulation so they are easily directed, taught and instilled in knowledge regarding the values of clean and healthy living behavior. Objective : Knowing elementary school children's knowledge about Clean and Healthy Living Behavior. Methods : This research uses a descriptive design. The number of samples used when collecting data was 61 respondents. This sampling used purposive sampling technique. This research data analysis uses univariate analysis. The measuring tool for this research uses questionnaires to process data analysis. Result : Based on the results of this research, it shows that there were 41 respondents (67.2%) in elementary school children aged 11 years. good knowledge category as many as 57 respondents (93.44%). Supported Questions that were answered correctly by ≥ 90% of respondents were washing hands before preparing food (95%), using a mask if you encounter cigarette smoke (97%), smoking is harmful to health (90%), measuring height and weight for one month very good for monitoring body growth (93%). Conclusion: Based on the results of this research, it shows that the majority of respondents have good knowledge regarding clean and healthy living behavior. Suggestion : Students are advised to improve PHBS in schools, further research is recommended to examine the factors that influence PHBS and schools are advised to provide knowledge in providing facilities to keep the elementary school environment clean and healthy.
