Abstract

Palembang as the capital city of South Sumatra Province have increased total population, this pushes the growth of Palembang city to accommodate the population well. With the city’s growth, facilities that support the city must not be forgotten to keep the population’s safety and comfort. Fire department have the duty to do firefighting, evacuating victims from fire or other others disasters, fire prevention, and to help solve other dangerous situations. The objective of this thesis is to design a fire department which includes various related function such as office, services, dan fire training in accordance to the law. Also, to fill the vacancies that arises in area that are far from other fire department due to the developments of the city area. All of this is done to increase the safety of the Palembang city from fires. The fire department building is made based on functionalism architecture and used tenacity as its theme as the embodiment of the firefighters.
