Abstract
In 2020, World Health Organization (WHO) reported that Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) reached 287,000 cases and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) reached 2,300,000 cases per 47 % of deaths. In Indonesia, the MMR in 2015 was considered high and reached 305 cases per 100,000 Live Birth (LB) meanwhile, the IMR was 22 cases per 1,000 LB. In Palembang, there were 128 cases of the MMR and 3,3/1,000 of Neonatal Mortality Rate (NMR) per LB in 2020. Midwifery Continuity of Care (COC) is a sustainable midwifery care from pregnancy, childbirth, newborn baby, postpartum, and neonate which aims to prevent complication risk during the pregnancy, childbirth, newborn baby, postpartum, and neonate as it is expected that this prevention step will reduce the high number of MMR and IMR in Indonesia. The midwifery care to Mrs. “S” in Independent Practice of Midwife “E” from June 15, 2023 to January 12, 2024 in the first trimester of pregnancy to childbirth, newborn baby, postpartum, and neonate. Technique of data collection employed primary and secondary data with midwifery management approach based on charity spirituality. The result of midwifery care to Mrs. “S” in the beginning of examination of pregnancy from Trimester I to Trimester III reveals that the mother did not have any problem, and childbirth, newborn baby and postpartum were normal. In conclusion, the pregnancy, childbirth, newborn baby, and postpartum were normal. It is suggested that the Independence Practice of Midwife “E” continuously provides high quality of midwifery care to the patient.
