Abstract

Background : Anxiety is a concern that is not clear and the spread associated with the unusual and the uncommon feeling that is felt by the mother before the operation Sectio Caesarea was coming. On Patient Pre surgery Sectio Caesarea to help control anxiety can be given music therapy. Music therapy has been used in the nursing environtment as a strategy to reduce anxiety, and increase relaxation shift, rest and sleep. Goal : This study was conducted to determine the "Effect of Music Therapy Against Anxiety In Patients Pre Surgery Sectio Caesarea In Pavilion Monica Myria Hospital Palembang in 2015". Method : This research was conducted using the method of research design Pre-Experiment with One approach Pretest-Posttest Design Group. Pre-test and post-test are done using a scale based Hars anxiety. The research was conducted in pavilion Monica Myria Hospital Palembang on November 17 until December 29, 2015. The population in this study were patients pre surery sectio Caesarea. Sampling technique with accidental sampling method. Number of samples about 20 respondents. Data processing and analysis using univariate and bivariate statistical tests by using a wilcoxon test. Result : The results obtained anxiety before music therapy with a mean of 37.40 and a standard deviation of 3.283, the average anxiety respondents are in severe anxiety while anxiety after music therapy mean 27.45 and standard deviation of 1,572.There is a significant difference between the anxiety before and after therapeutic intervention music. It shows from the result statistical test obtained p value 0.001 <p value 0.05 level. and the effect of music therapy on anxiety in patients with preoperative sc. Conclusion : From the above explanation the hospitals should implement music therapy with classical music in one technique before mother had section caesarea surgery to help reduce the anxiety felt by the mother before facing surgery SC.
