Handover activity is one method of conveying information related to the patient's condition that is relevant through the process of weighing the duties and authority of nurses carried out between routine shifts and between internal hospital units. The application of the SBAR method will be of high quality if it follows the established standard procedures. There are several factors that influence nurse compliance in implementing SOPs, namely individual factors which include the characteristics of the nurses themselves (age, gender, education, length of service and nurse compliance in carrying out SOPs), Objective: To analyse the application of situation, backgroud, assessment, reccomendation (SBAR) method during handover through documentation. Methods: This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. Sampling was carried out with a total sampling technique of 65 respondents, this study used univariate analysis. Results: The average age of respondents was mostly dominated by female sex as many as 50 respondents (76.9%), most of the nurses had DIII nursing education as many as 30 respondents (46.2%), Bachelor of Nursing as many as 15 respondents (23.1%) and Ners Profession as many as 20 respondents (30.8%), most of the nurses had a working period of <5 years, namely 54 respondents (83.1%), most of the nurses complied with the SOP for applying the SBAR method during handover as many as 56 respondents (86.2%). Conclusion: Most (86.2%) inpatient nurses have implemented good soup. Suggestion: It is hoped that the hospital can improve the skills training of nurses, especially inpatient nurses in terms of applying SBAR at the time of handover in
