Abstract

Background : Most of the children who receive inpatient treatment undergo IV procedures. Installation of quality infusions if done correctly and in accordance with the SOP, to avoid the occurrence of nosocomial infections due to installation of infusions that do not comply with the SOP. Nurses as officers who provide services and care must work optimally to provide nursing services, this will happen if it is supported by formal nurse education and work experience. Objective : The relationship between education and work experience is known with nurses' compliance with the implementation of SOPs for infusion installations in children. Methods : This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. Sampling was carried out using a total sampling technique, namely 40 respondents. The research was analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Kendall's Tau test. Result : The results of the study showed that the average age of respondents was 28.00, where the minimum age was 22 years and the maximum age was 43 years, the majority of respondents were female, 32 (80%), the majority of nurses had a DIII nursing education, 22 (55%). %), the majority of nurses had a working period of <6 years as many as 26 respondents (65%), the majority of nurses complied with the SOP for infusion installation as many as 33 respondents (82.5%). Data analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between nurse education and nurse compliance with implementing the SOP for infusion installation with a p value of 0.420 (>0.05). There is no significant relationship between length of service and nurses' compliance with implementing the SOP for infusion installation with a p value of 0.184 (>0.05). Suggestion : It is hoped that the research results will be useful for respondents as a self-evaluation, motivate respondents in their work and can increase knowledge and experience regarding infusion installation that meets standards.
