Abstract
From the results of practical work carried out, the author proposes to design a data collection system for entry and exit of ships at the Palembang Type A Class I Navigation District. Which in one section, namely VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) which is in charge of monitoring ship safety and also recording the entry and exit of ships in the Palembang area, still uses a manual system with Microsoft Excel for monthly reports and also per-Shift. From this problem the author provides input in the form of designing a system to help VTS operators in recording ships with the title "Design of a Website-based Ship Entry and Exit Data Collection System". This system can be accessed by internal parties of the Navigation District Type A Class I Palembang, especially in the VTS section which can be by the admin and also the VTS operator. This design uses the Waterfall development method and in this design also proposes several design designs, namely Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship Diagram, Flowchart, and System Interface.
