Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the return on investment, cash ratio and, debt to equity ratio of the dividend payout ratio. The population of this study is a company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using a sample of companies included in the Index Compass 100. Samples were determined by using a purposive sampling method. The sample obtained were as much 49 companies. Hypothesis testing using multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 17.0. The results show that the first hypothesis (H1) which states that the return on investment affect the dividend payout ratio, acceptable. The second hypothesis (H2) which states that the cash ratio affect the dividend payout ratio, was rejected. The third hypothesis (H3) which states that the debt to equity ratio affect the dividend payout ratio, was rejected.
