Abstract
The quality of good education can be influenced by several factors, one of which is from the teaching staff. It is important for teachers to have a good sense of humor, this can help create a fun learning method. Good interaction between teachers and students is one of the factors that form student engagement. In addition to creating a positive atmosphere in the classroom, a sense of humor can also be used as a coping strategy against stress, including academic stress. The goal to be achieved from this study is to determine the relationship between the perception of the lecturer's sense of humor with student engagement and student academic stress. The type of research used in this study is quantitative method. The population used in this study was active students totaling 146 respondents. The results showed a positive significant value between the perception of sense of humor and student engagement of 0.355 (p>0), and a significant negative value between the perception of sense of humor and academic stress of -0.313 (p<0).
