Abstract

Agust Service Workshop is a workshop engaged in the field of light 4-wheeled automotive, namely private cars. In the practice of working every day, this workshop often encounters problems such as the processing time being carried out is still quite long due to the work area not being prepared properly. The application of the 5S method is one way to fix this. Work productivity achieved before repair was 7.54 Jobs/Day for Oil Change, 4.6 Jobs/Day for Light Service, and 4.37 Jobs/Day for Light Tune Up. Then, the 5S design was determined and also the SOP was made to complement the 5S design. The SOP itself contained several important points proposed such as SOP for receiving services, SOP for vehicle work, SOP for final check and payment, SOP for booking services, and SOP for maintenance. After the 5S and SOP methods were implemented, the work productivity achieved was 9.76 Jobs/Day for Oil Change, 5.15 Jobs/Day for Light Service, and 4.71 Jobs/Day for Light Tune Up. From these results, there was an increase in work productivity in the three job categories after these improvements were implemented. Keywords: 5S Method, Standard Operating Procedures, Productivity
