Abstract

This study aims to examine whether there is an effect of work stress on employee performance at Palembang city retail stores and the effect of cyberloafing on employee performance at retail stores in Palembang city. This research uses quantitative research methods. The population and sample of this study were 105 respondents who worked at Indomaret and Alfamart companies in Palembang using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS as a tool for processing and testing the data. The results showed that there was no negative effect of work stress on the performance of retail store employees in Palembang city and there was also no negative effect of cyberloafing on the performance of retail store employees in Palembang city.
