Abstract

A dynamo is a machine that is used to generate electrical energy from mechanical energy sources. The process that occurs in the dynamo workshop consists of several stages, namely the dynamo dismantling process, the dynamo checking process using a multitester tool, the damage identification process, the repair process and the process of testing the dynamo repair results. Based on the pulse measurement, the average pulse rate for workers is 146 pulses per minute, and the coils that workers get per day are 3 coils per day. Based on the results of the interviews, the results obtained were the needs and desires of workers in the form of tools that overcome cramps in the hands when doing winding. The design of work facilities is a dynamo wire coil tool by measuring the worker's pulse first, then taking anthropometric measurements to get dimensional data of the dynamo wire winding tool and get an ergonomic design. Anthropometric data were obtained from dynamo workshop workers. Based on the design results with a prototype and pulse measurement, the design of a dynamo wire winding tool with an anthropometric approach can provide improvements in reducing the worker's pulse rate. The results of the pulse vibrations of the workers before the design of the tool were 146 pulses per minute so that it was classified as a type of heavy work, while the result of the pulse after the design was 94 pulses per minute so that it was a type of light work.
