Abstract

In today's era, the house has become the main basic need that must be fulfilled by every human being. Population growth and also driven by the rapid development of urbanization in the city of Palembang requires everyone to need housing with a comfortable and decent atmosphere and a good and healthy environment. The greater the need for housing, the greater the impact that will be received on the environment. One of the impacts on the environment is the lack of land to serve as a place to live and it is also difficult to find housing in the city center. Flats are a solution to form a dwelling with limited land as well as to meet the residential needs of people in the city center, especially for people who have low incomes. In the city of Palembang, there is an apartment area located at 23 and 24 ilir. The condition of the flats is apprehensive due to the age of the building and the surrounding environment so that the building becomes unfit for habitation. Therefore, redevelopment is needed in this 24 ilir flat. Redevelopment of flats with a Smart Eco-Living approach is needed to create housing with a comfortable and decent atmosphere as well as to create a healthy and good environment for the people of the city of Palembang.
