Abstract

Technological developments are now growing faster where indirectly the use of this technology has had an impact on various lines of human life. One of the things that can be applied by technology is in searching for information on online media such as websites, which can be accessed via a smartphone or computer. Information Retrieval is used to look up information in several large documents stored on a computer. In this case study, BRI Bank Maskarebet unit, where customers have difficulty obtaining information related to BRI bank due to limited operating hours. With these problems, a Question Answering System was designed which used the waterfall method in this application design, was designed using the Figma and diagram.net applications and used the MySQL database. It is hoped that this will assist BRI in responding to questions posed by users, as well as making it easier for users to obtain the information they need Keyword : Technology, Information Retrieval, Question Answering System , Waterfall
